DeAnn George Ashby was the daughter of Creede and Merle Roberts George. She graduated from Camelback High School in Phoenix, Arizona in 1957. She attended Brigham Young University, majoring in Home Economics. She married Kenneth R. Ashby November 17, 1962 in the Mesa Arizona Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Shortly after her marriage she moved to Delta, Utah where she raised her children. In 1994, she moved with her husband to South Jordan, Utah where she died suddenly of complications related to diabetes.
DeAnn had a delightful personality and was very friendly and sociable. She enjoyed tole painting, sewing and crafts in general. She was an active and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and always strove to follow the Savior's example.
She is greatly missed by her husband, Kenneth, and her children Julie, Kevin, Kaye, Kendra, and Gayle. Her son David preceded her in death. She also left behind eight grandchildren: Christina, Kolby, Courtney, Kyler, Kameron, Zachary, Karson, and Jacob.
