Rehrersburg, May 1 (Special). - Benjamin B. Mogel, aged 82 years and 1 day, died at the home of Harvey Ludwig, this place, where he had been making his home for the past year. He was a son of the late Samuel and Sarah (Bagenstose) Mogel and was born in Center township. Decesaed was formerly a contractor, following his trade in the western states, but for some time lived retired. He was a veteran of the Civil War, enlisting Sept. 13, 1862, as a private in Co. H. 151st Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was mustered out with his regiment at Harrisburg on July 27, 1863. He was a member of McLean Post, G. A. R., Reading, and of the Reformed congregation of Trinity Union Church, this place. There survive a daughter, Ella, in Minnesota; a daughter, Sallie, wife of Philip Wagner, Reading, and a brother, Aaron, near Schaefferstown.

Funeral, Monday, May 5, at 9:30 a. m., from the home of Harvey Ludwig. Further services at Trinity Union Church, Rev. E. S. Leinbach of Womelsdorf, officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery in charge of Undertaker Charles Schucker, of this place.
