ARAB -- Funeral for Joseph A. Greenhaw, 96, of Union Grove will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mount Tabor Baptist Church with the Revs. Herbert Childers, Jimmy Flynn and Eldridge Criscoe officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Greenhaw died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Marshall Medical Center North. He was born July 28, 1903, in Alabama to Robert Archie Greenhaw and Nancy Alice Briscoe Greenhaw. He was a retired teacher from the Morgan County school system. He taught at various schools, ending his career at Lacey's Spring Elementary School. He was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son, Glenn Greenhaw of Union Grove; two daughters, Nancy Halloran of Massachusetts and Mary Leo Whisenant of Arab; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
