The body of Mrs. Thomas R. Scott was brought to Traer for burial in Buckingham cemetery, short services conducted at the grave by the Rev. H. W. Singer. Death came at the Scott home in Fort Smith, Arkansas last Friday evening, after an illness of more than ten years . Decedent, known in Traer as Anna May Frederickson, was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, July 29, 1869. She came with her parents at an early age to America, and they located at Cedar Falls, a few years later moving to the vicinity of Traer. The decedent was married to Thomas R. Scott on December 5, 1888 and the couple resided here until 1919 when they moved to Mount Vernon, Iowa. In 1927 they went south locating in Fort Smith, their home since.

Mrs. Scott became ill in Traer and getting no relief here she went to a hospital, where her trouble was pronounced pernicious anemia and spinal trouble, which left her paralyzed below the waist, and she has been bedfast all the years since, though able to read and write. Her afflictions were borne with remarkable cheerfulness and courage. She loved the beautiful in nature, in music, and literature. She was always surrounded by flowers, in her early years by her own cultivation, in years of affliction by generous friends. Mrs. Scott possessed an unusual depth of spiritual nature and from early childhood was very reverent toward all that is sacred. She loved the scripture s and derived great consolation from their pages. The beauty of the Psalms brought her much comfort and enjoyment.

The body was shipped to Traer. Mr. Scott, daughter Ruby, and son Thomas, drove through in their car arriving Tuesday, when burial took place in the family plot in Buckingham. T. R. Scott is a brother of Will Scott, who is employed by the local municipal electric plant.
