Lois L. Christie, 92, Gibson City, formerly of Fisher, died at 11:15 a.m. Monday (Nov. 29, 2010) at the Gibson Area Hospital Annex in Gibson City.
She was born May 31, 1918 in Champaign County to Emil and Verna Amdor Adams. She married Ralph Charles Redding Jr. in 1940. He died in 1945 in World War II. She married Donald G. Christie on Dec. 16, 1950 in Osman. He died Oct. 23, 1985. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Geneva (Wesley) Calhoun; a grandson, Darin Redding and a daughter-in-law, Judy Redding.
Surviving are a son, Darryl Redding, Gibson City; two daughters, Deborah (John) Lammle, Fisher, and Patricia (Gil) Downey, Normal; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred (Vernon) Nixon, Mahomet and many nieces and nephews.
