Old Time News--115 Years Ago, Thurs. April 13, 1899

Obituary--Died at her home in Bourbon township, Mrs. Electa Hunsaker, of pneumonia, aged 76 years, 11 months and 23 days.

Deceased was born in Ohio April 14, 1822. Her maiden name was Sikes.

She moved from Ohio to Shelby county, Missouri, while young, and was married to Absalom Hunsaker in 1841.

They moved to Marion county and lived there a few years. Moved to Knox county in 1846, where she lived until her death angel called her to the spirit land. Where he husband and two children awaited her.

Deceased leaves seven children-four daughters and three sons-to mourn her death.

She united with the Christian church in 1858 and had lived a consistent Christian life.

Her body was laid to rest in the Cockrum Cemetery by the side of her husband.
