WILLIAM F. EASELY
---William F. Easley, an early settler of Macon County, died at the home of Teen Tate in this city at 2:15 Tuesday morning at the age of eighty-three years. Funeral services were held at the residence of Harve B. Easley, a grandson with whom he had been making his home since the fall of 1914, this afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which the remains were laid to rest beside those of his wife in the La Plata cemetery. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Arthur McDavitt of Illinois.
---Mr. Easley was one of the first settlers of Macon County, coming here when but five years of age. His father, Judge Easley, was the first County Judge at Old Bloomington and from whom one of the townships of the county was given its name.
---Mr. Easley was conscious to the last moment and planned all the funeral arrangements and selected his pall bearers.
---Mr. Easley is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Malissa Abbot of Binger, Oklahoma, two sisters, Aunt Polly Morris and Margaret Lamaster of Macon County and four half brothers, William and Jake Easley of the state of Washington and Thomas and James Easley of La Plata and a half sister, Mrs. Minnie Shultice of Adair County.
---Mr. Easley had been making his home with Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Tate for about ten days while his grandson, Harve Easley, was in the east with a car of horses, where he received the same loving care as of a father or grandfather.
