Paul E. Hart, 61, 303 W. Willard St., died Thursday at Ball Hospital. He had suffered a heart attack four weeks ago.
A lifetime resident of Muncie, Mr. Hart was appointed to the local fire department January 12, 1935 by the late Dr. Rollin Bunch, then mayor. He was a member of the Foursquare Tabernacle. He was last assigned at No.3 Fire Station, Willard and Council Streets.
Surviving are his wife, Isabelle; a daughter, Mrs. Rosemary King, Muncie; two sons, George A. Hart, Muncie, and Murray Hart, Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Jack Brubaker, Muncie; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Parson Mortuary, the Rev. Dewey Hole, of Gas City, officiating. Burialo will be in Tomlinson Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Saturday.
