O. E. Phillips, minister, officiating. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetary. Mr. McCracken was born at Lexington, Ky., and came to Texas at the age of 27, settling at Calvert. He moved to Abilene 25 years ago and has made his home in this city ever since. He was a carpenter. Surviving Mr. McCracken are his widow, seven sons, Dan of Dallas, Homer of Ft. Worth, John, Zilman and Eddie of Abilene, Clem of Coahoma, and Thomas Lee of Clinton, Oklahoma; three daughters, Mrs O. W. Mead and Mrs. H. B. Mc Allister of Abilene and Mrs. John G. Bills of Clinton; eight grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. J. A. Carey of Ft. Worth. Mr. McCracken, who resided at 1034 South 7th died at 11:30 Saturday night following three months illness. Laughter Undertaking Company was in charge of funeral arrangements..
