Odessa - Z. S. (Ace) McCracken, 90, of Odessa, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born May 19, 1907, in Moro, Texas. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1942 to 1944.
He married Betty Burke June 8, 1941, in Abilene and they moved to Odessas in 1953. He was a tank builder for Black, Sivalls and Bryson for 16 years and was a member of Grace Fellowship of Monahans.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Bea) McCracken of Odessa; son, James A. McCracken and his wife Kaye; and daughter, Kathy Giandalia and her husband, Sam, all of Odessa. He is also survived by grandsons, Brian Rasmussen, James Shannon McCracken, Stephen McCracken, and Scott Rasmussen, and great grandsons, Cody McCracken and Gage McCracken.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 1998, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. James Otterness officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
