Amund Anderson

The funeral will be Oct. 2 for Amund Ingvald Anderson of Eugene, who died Sept. 28 of age-related causes. He was 93.

Anderson was born Dec. 16, 1908, in Portland to Martin and Amelia Amundsen Anderson. He married Esther Aus in Portland in 1935. They divorced in 1949 and she died in 1980. He married Alejandra Hernandes in Mazatlan, Mexico, on Dec. 7, 1962.

He lived in Portland before moving to Eugene in 1949. He worked as the owner of Anderson Bros.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling to Mexico and visiting friends. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a former member of Eugene Moose Lodge No. 46.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sandra Bovee of Spokane; two sons, Richard and Bruce, both of Eugene; a brother, Oscar of Portland; a sister, Annie Rust of Portland; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lane Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene. Wednesday's service will be at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Lane Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
