MARGARET A. JOHNSON
A memorial service for Margaret A. Johnson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes. Burial will be in Rose City Cemetery Mausoleum.

Mrs. Johnson died of cancer Friday in her Northeast Portland home. She was 81.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Portland on Jan. 15, 1912. Her maiden name was Anderson. In 1953, she married Carl Lester Johnson.

A homemaker, Mrs. Johnson also worked for a local trucking company and a nursing home. She retired in 1972.

She was a member of Eagles Lodge No. 3426 for 25 years.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter, Janet Ryan of Portland; brothers, Oscar Anderson of Portland, Amund Anderson of Eugene, and Paul Anderson of Vancouver, Wash.; sister, Annie Rust of Portland; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests remembrances be contributions to Oregon Eye Bank or St. Vincent Hospice.
