George Jamison Dies February 5 At Age of 77 As it must to all men, death came at 7 p.m., Feb. 5 to George Luther Jamison, 77 years of age.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 7 at First Baptist church with the Rev. C. E. Bullock, officiating, assisted by Rev. Lee R. Harris and W. B. Wages, and under the direction of Davis Cozart. Interment was in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Mr. Jamison, a lifelong resident of this community, had been in failing health for several years.
Survivors include his wife and seven children as follows: George of Tucson, Arizona; Mrs. Joe Sandel, Normangee; Mrs W. C. Darcy, Tucson, Arizona; Carter, Normangee; Mrs. L. E. Franklin, Houston; Cora lee Jamison, Baytown; Rogers Jamison; five grandchildren, one brother, A. W. Jamison, two sisters, Mrs. Will Collard; Mrs. J. B. Collard, Fort Worth.
Mr. Jamison was born June 29, 1870 at Normangee. He and Lizzie McLain were married ? 10, 1909. Mr. Jamison engaged in farming until he retired several years ago.
Pallbearers were Earl Griffith, Roger Spikes, Gary Brashear,? Taylor, Roy Patterson, Allen Skains.
Mr. Jamison was a highly respected citizen, a beloved father, husband, a loyal friend and a generous neighbor. The Star expresses sympathy to the greived members of his family.
A quartet consisting of Mrs, taylor, Thad Neyland, Elbert Do? and Mrs. Carl Martin sang special music.
