Mrs. Billings died on Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at her home in Dublin.
She was born on March 9, 1926, in Overton County to the late Cubert and Verda Ledbetter Gore.
Mrs. Billings was one of the first employees of the American Cancer Society-Dublin Chapter. She was also a former resident of Johnson City, Tulsa, Okla., Detroit, Mich., Johannesburg, South Africa, and Statesboro, Ga.
Mrs. Billings served as a missionary in the Republic of South Africa for two years. She was a member of the World harvest Church in Dublin and a volunteer for Harvest Christian Academy.
Her family includes a daughter and son-in-law, Nita and Rodney Lloyd of Dublin; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Charles K. Jr. and Kathy Billings of New Orleans, La.; a brother, Olon Wyant Gore of Chattanooga; a sister, Juanita Angie Phillips of McMinnville; grandchildren, Dr. Julian and Dr. Amy Billings of Birmingham, Ala., Minda and Paul Nichols of Dublin, Michael and Nicole Lloyd of Detroit, Curtis Gore Billings of New York, N.Y., Benjamin McGehee Billings of Austin, Texas; and two great-grandchildren,
Grant and Jackson Billings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kelso Billings.
Memorial donations may be made to Family Life Center Building Fund or World Harvest Church.
Dr. Farris W. Cox will officiate at the services.
