Mrs. Wolfgang Dies At Home On Market St.
Mrs. John Wolfgang, 107 south Market street, this city, died at her home Saturday, the day before her 74th birthday anniversary.
Ill for some time but bedfast only two days, she succumbed to a complication at 10:30 a.m.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon with a short service at the residence at 12:30 o'clock and further services in the Union Church, Pitman, at 2:00 o'clock, burial to follow in the cemetery adjoining that church. Rev. W.E. Pottieger, pastor of St. Paul Evangelical Church, will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. Mr. Burkman, of the Union Church.
Mrs. Wolfgang, the former Agnes Bensinger, was born in the Mahantongo Valley, December 6, 1868, a daughter of the late Lewis and Rebecca (Hepler) Bensinger. She became the wife of John Wolfgang on March 18, 1895, and had been a resident of Mount Carmel more than 40 years.
She is survived by her husband, three daughters and a son: Maude, wife of Frank Kerner, Eva, wife of Allen Herb, Beulah, wife of Tye Lerch, and Fred, all of Mount Carmel; three grandchildren; and a brother, William Bensinger, Mount Carmel. Four other children preceded her in death.
