On 4 Oct 1843, Robert T Wilson was bound to marry Eliza Jane Ingles, the daughter of William Ingles, in Rockbridge Co., VA. Rockbridge Co., VA Marriage Bonds, 1842-1846 database. Familysearch, Film # 007738879 (see photo)

On the 1870 South River, Rockbridge, Virginia census, I found (male) farmer A. Wilson, 58; other Wilsons: Eliza Jane, 47; Leondas M, 22; Ella L, 17; Ida V, 14; Isamuel, 12; Jennie B, 9; Anna M, 6 and Nona J, 1, all Virginia born.

"Mr. Robert Wilson, an old citizen of this county, died at Cherry Grove, near Fairfield, on Thursday last. He was a member of the Presbyterian church for years and was buried at New Providence Church on Friday evening. He was about 74 years old." Published in the Rockbridge County News, Vol 1, #46, dated 25 Sept 1885.
