Richard "Dick" Earl Waters, 79, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville, North Carolina
A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late John Nevett Waters and Dicie Grogan. He was also preceded by a sister, Ruth Waters Etters.
Surviving are his siters, Betty Waters Cummins of Johnson City, Tennessee, Wanda Waters of Brevard, Wilma "Tootsie" Waters Morgan of Euless, Texas and Frances "Snookie" Waters Henson and husband Doug of Brevard; brother Tommy Waters and wife Phyllis of Brevard; several nieces and nephews.
VETERAN US ARMY
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Brevard, with Father Michael Cummins officing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharing Gouse, P. O. Box 958, Brevard, N. C. 28712.
Mr. Walters was a Veteran, serving in the U. S. Army.
