Marion (Barney) Lizar, 69, R.R.1, Yorktown, died Friday night in Ball Hospital after five years of ill health. Born in Alexandria, he had lived in Delaware County 39 years and engaged in livestock farming until his retirement four years ago.
Mr. Lizar was a former member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of the Brethren and Lodge No. 33, Loyal Order of Moose.
Surviving are his wife, Alice; two stepsons, Michael Badders, Daleville, and Stephen Badders, Anderson; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Shelba Clapper, Yorktown, and Mrs. Sonie Disher, Muncie; one brother, Cleo of Summitville; and 13 stepgrandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary by Rev. Roy Lee. Entombment will be in the Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today.
