Services for Mildred C. Douglas, age 81, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Dana Casey of Willis-Knighton Hospice. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Douglas went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 7, 2007 after a brief illness. She was born in Liberty Hill, La, raised in Saline, La and lived in Shreveport for 58 years.

Mrs. Douglas was a good, kind, loving and giving person who loved her garden and pecan trees. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Solon Keyser and Cora Minnie Wright Culver, and one brother; Bruce Jordan Culver.

Mrs. Douglas is survived by her husband of 56 years Raymond Douglas; four sons, Raymond Lee Douglas and wife Lori of Afton, Wy, John Fabian Douglas of Bedford, Wy., Brian Keith Douglas and wife Barbara of Pueblo, Co, Scott Douglas and wife Rena' of Stonewall, La.; three sisters, Eva Burnley, Betty Sharbeno, Marie Buehler, all of Shreveport, La.; five brothers, J.H. Culver and wife Aline of Shreveport, La., Billy James Culver and wife Margie of Shreveport, La., Ronnie Culver and wife Billie Jo of Shreveport, La., Charlie Culver and wife Jane of Stonewall, La., Tommy Culver of Arcadia, La.; eight grandchildren, Crystal LeAnn Douglas, John David Douglas, Jennifer Pruett, Laura Douglas, Brian Douglas, Jason Douglas, Jeremy Douglas, and Nathan Douglas; two great grandchildren, Blake and Blain Pruett, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Acting as pallbearers will be the grandsons.

The family would like to thank Willis-Knighton Hospice, especially Chaplain Dana Casey for their loving care.
