Esther Ruth Lange of Lake Jackson, Texas was born Tuesday, May 22, 1923 in Taylor, Texas to John Albert and Alma Moerbe Zieschang, and died Monday, November 22, 2010 in Lake Jackson at the age of 87 years and 6 months. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran church. Her children were her life and her biggest joy! She enjoyed making trips to Branson, Missouri with her sister Rosalie and her nephew Kenneth, and spending time in her garden. The greatest joy and delight of her life was her granddaughter Erica! She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Walter Lange, in 1999 and is also preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her son Rodney Lange of Lake Jackson, son Mark Lange and wife Sandra of Lake Jackson, daughter Gail Dawson and husband Joel of Clute, and her granddaughter Erica Ledesma and husband Ty of Pearland, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Friday, November 26, 2010 at Restwood Funeral Home and funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday November 26, 2010 at the Restwood Funeral Home Chapel with Joel Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Park with Esther's nephews Paul Zieschang, James Krueger, Kenneth Krueger, Rankin Zieschang, Gary Zieschang, Morris Zieschang, and Ronald Hejl serving as pallbearers. Felix (Buster) Pavlicek was like a son to Esther and will serve as honorary pallbearer.
