Clarence Roy Zieschang was born on July 9, 1919 in Williamson County Texas to John Albert and Alma (Moerbe) Zieschang. He married Minnie Schroeder in March 1939 at Christ Lutheran Church in Noack, Texas. This marriage was blessed with five wonderful children. He was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Noack. Clarence retired from Alcoa and was a farmer for most of his life. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed spending time with his friends. Clarence never met a stranger. He spent some of his favorite days with his life long friend, Charlie Zimmerhanzel, driving the countryside, visiting the farm and looking at his cattle. Clarence took great pride in his family and enjoyed the simple pleasures of country life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 44 years, Minnie Schroeder Zieschang who died December 11, 1983, his brothers, Henry Zieschang, Walter Zieschang, Louis Zieschang, Herbert Zieschang, Amos Zieschang, Albert Zieschang, Jr., and a sister, Edna Hejl.
Clarence is survived by daughters, Barbara Matula and husband, Norbert of Taylor; Virginia (Ginger) Cervenka and husband, Larry of Taylor; Joan Miller and husband, Stanley of Wichita, KS.; sons, Gary Zieschang and wife, Linda of Katy; Franklin Zieschang of Taylor; grandchildren, Stefanie Matula; Troy Cervenka and wife, Sheryl; Gene Cervenka; Jason Miller; Dean Zieschang and wife, Roxanne; Robert Zieschang and wife, Karen; great grandchildren, Tanner Cervenka; Morgan Cervenka; Allison Zieschang; Madison Zieschang; Landon Zieschang; Kya Zieschang; and step great grandchild, Logan Lee; sisters, Rosalie Krueger of Taylor; and Esther Ruth Lange of Lake Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Dean Zieschang, Robert Zieschang, Troy Cervenka, Gene Cervenka, Jason Miller, Darrell Agnew, Ed C. Griffith, and Edwin Marek.
