Attended school in Rock Falls, IA. Received her B.S. in Home Economics at Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, IA. Taught at Jesup 1924-1925, Preston 1926-1929, Central City 1929-1930. Married, then lived at Miles until 1936, then moved to a farm near Preston. In 1945 Hugo's job took them to Cedar Rapids, then a final move to Davenport. After Hugo died, Thelma taught at the Annie Whitenmeyer School in Davenport in 1957 and was there until 1962. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Descendents of the Mayflower Society. Thelma was staying at the home of her son at the time of her death.
