Funeral services for John M. Gross, who was killed when his car was struck by a Nickel Plate road
freight train Monday, will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev.
Fannie Gentry will be in charge of
services at Mt. Lebanon Friends
church and burial will follow in
Sharpsville cemetery.
Friends may call at Ralph McMulln Funeral home at Kempton
after 4 p. m. today.
The accident occurred at Kemp
Canning factory crossing one-half
mile from Kempton. Gross died before
he could be removed from the
wreckage. He was an employee of
the canning plant.
Born in Tipton county Jan. 30, 1874
ross was the son of Thomas and Frances
Gross. His first wife was Maggie Foster,
who died in February of 1900. In December
of that year, he married Mae Davison.
Surviving are nine children. They are Mrs. Buelah Roler, Mrs. Lelah Mitenburg and Mrs. Dena Floyd, both of Kempton. Mrs. Mildred Chandler of Russiaville. Also Mrs. Frieda Amos and Owen of Kokomo; Ralph and Harvey of Elwood.
