He worked 33 years for AT&T as an equipment installer and served in the US Navy during the Korean War.
He was a member of St Peter Catholic Church, and its Men's Club, and Knights of Columbus Council 744, Mount Clemens.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen; sons, George and Michael (Andrea) Convery, both of Mt Clemens,; daughters Mrs. Gary (Mary) Blash, Mrs. Kenneth (Catherine) Koltys, Mrs. Scott (Ann) Bacon and Amy Convery, all of Mt Clemens and Mrs. Michael (Maureen) Bandy of Armada; brothers Harvey of Seattle, Earl of East Detroit, Gerald of Roseville, Roy of Ohio, and Jack and Robert both of Mt Clemens; sisters, Glenna Jean Carey of Ohio and Donna Mae Haile of Kentucky; and 3 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Floyd Convery.
