Isabelle was born August 26, 1930 to John & Emily (Kuznia) Grembowski at Argyle MN. She attended Dist. #50 and graduated from the NW Ag School of Crookston. She married Ray Kurowski on June 30, 1948 at Alma, MN. Ray passed away in June of 1964. On November 27th, 1965, she married Clarence Sten in Thief River Falls, MN and they resided in Stephen MN until 1990 at which time they moved to Grand Forks, ND. Clarence passed away in February 6, 1994.
Isabel was a member of Holy Family Catholic church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was proud to work with the Red River Valley Foster Grandparent Program for the past three years at Altru Rehab Hospital. Her specialty was cooking for her family and friends. She especially enjoyed occasions when the whole family could get together. Her favorite pastime was playing cards with her family, most recently teaching pinochle and rummy to her great-grandchildren and playing cards with her friends at Parkview Terrace.
She is survived by her sons Eldon Kurowski, Des Moines, IA, Dale Kurowski, Fargo, ND, daughters Judy Kuster, Grand Forks; Peggy (John) Rieniets, West Fargo ND; and Pam (Loren) Kuster, Reynolds ND, sister Alvina Benke, Mpls, MN and brother Ralph Grembowski, Peoria, AZ, ten grandchildren and two great-grand children.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edward.
