Miss Delight (Ighty) Stannard, 88, a former resident of Springville, died Sunday at 9:45 a.m. at the Bedford Nursing Home, where she entered July 20, 1971. She had been in failing health for several years.
The daughter of Charley and Mae Johnson Stannard, she was born March 30, 1884. Surviving are one nephew, John K. Carson of Springville and one niece, Mrs. Gerald (Louise) Lee Rosemead, California.
Miss Stannard was a member of Springville Methodist Church. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary. Rev. Richard Kern will officiate and burial will be in Springville Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. today.
