BIG RAPIDS --- Earl Thomas Heald, 91 of Big Rapids, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 1994.
He was born Aug. 8, 1902, in Ionia County, to the late Perry and Martha Elizabeth (Fitzjohn) Heald.
He was a lifetime member of the Free Methodist Church and had lived in Big Rapids over 70 years..
He retired from the Pine Shops in Big Rapids at age 72, after working there for many years..
He married Jeanette Elnora Falconer on May 21, 1926, who preceded him in death on March 13, 1990.
He is survived by three sons, Maurice (Dorothy) Heald of Grand Rapids, Merrill (Ann) Heald of Kalamazoo, and Melvin (Nancy) Heald of Elkhart, Ind.; one daughter, Lois (Orie) Pratt of Grand Rapids; one brother, Harvey (Dorothy) Heald of Belding; one sister, Ruth (Glen) May of Six Lakes; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Lawrence Earl Heald, one daughter, Olive Mae Moss, three brothers and four sisters.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday Jan. 13, at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Rev. Wayne Hull officiating. Burial will be in Highland View Cemetery in Big Rapids..
Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services with family greeting friends from 1 to 2 p.m..
