LAKEVIEW -- N. Ruth May, 87, Six Lakes, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, at Kelsey Skilled Center in Lakeview.
She was born Dec. 19, 1911, in St Louis, the daughter of Perry and Martha Fitzjohn Heald. She married Glen C. May, who survives, on Sept. 24, 1940, in Big Rapids..
She also is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale R. and Marilyn May of Spring Arbor, Richard G. and Faith May of Six Lakes; one daughter and son-in-law, Carole R. and Daniel Gates of Grant, nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Dorothy Heald, all of Belding. Mrs. May was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters. She belonged to the Bible Methodist Church in Vestaburg.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Youngman-McCullough Funeral Chapel, Lakeview, with the Rev. Forrest Tyler officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Six Lakes..
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday..
