Jerold Albert Clayton continues his journey on November 23, 2010.

He was born September 18, 1925 to Leo Albert and Adelaide Himnan of Springdale (Burley) Idaho. He was the third of five children Dewayne (Marie), Ona (Elmer) Moore, both of Idaho; Leloa (Loren) Burr of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Gene (Margaret) of Fresno, California. Jerold has two children, Dixie (Fred Sr.) Kiesel of Mayfield, Utah; and James (Becky) of Cedar City, Utah; ten grandchildren; and sixteen 1/2 great-grandchildren. Jerold was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Talbot; father Leo; mother Adelaide; and brother Dewayne.

Jerold served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946, serving in the South Pacific theatre. He then worked as a heavy duty repairman on heavy equipment for various contractors.

He met and married Anna in 1969. While married, they served a LDS Temple Mission in the Provo Temple. They had the opportunity to visit several temples. They lived in Tabiona, Utah. In the winters, they went south (snow birding). During the summers, they stayed in the cool Uinta Mountains of Tabiona, where they worked in the yard (which was gorgeous). People would come for miles to tour their yard.

He had a 1930 Studebaker that he rode in the 24th of July parades. He also liked old tractors, sightseeing, traveling, and taking pictures of his trips and of his two shihtzus and cat.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Tabiona LDS Church, Tabiona, Utah. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. prior to the services at the LDS Church.
Interment will follow the services in the Tabiona Cemetery with full military honors accorded.
