Mrs. Thomas Haywood died in Lafayette Tuesday. Many years ago Mrs. Haywood was a resident of Mulberry. At that time she was the wife of Wilson Lewis, a brother of Al Lewis, of this place. The family lived in the house now occupied by Al Jacoby and at one time lived in a log house that stood just west of the Methodist church. They had a daughter named Pearl and twin boys. Ben Overesch, a Lafayette man, came acourting Pearl Lewis and they were married while the family lived here. Ben Overesch died some years ago, but his widow is living in Lafayette.

Thomas Haywood died only a few weeks ago. He was a wealthy farmer and lived in the neighborhood of Otterbein. The past fall he was a patient in the Home hospital where he underwent a major surgical operation from prostatic trouble.
