Layson H. Stingley, 78, father of Postmaster Lehr's wife, died in the Masonic Home, at Franklin, Sunday. The body was brought to the Kleinsmith undertaking rooms to be prepared for its last resting place, and Rev. C. J. Snyder conducted the funeral at the Clarks Hill Methodist church, Tuesday afternoon, the Masons holding a service at the grave. The deceased was a native of Stockwell, but lived in or near Clarks Hill the greater part of his life.
