Services for Dora Johnson Gary, 87, of Fort Worth, Texas, who died of congestive heart failure Wednesday, March 27, 1996, at Harris Methodist Hospital in Bedford, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God in Greenwood.
Mrs. Gary, a Purvis native and resident of Fort Worth since 1985, was a former longtime resident of Greenwood. She was a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church.
Mrs. Gary was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Clyde R . Gary, and a son, Buford Ray Gary.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Ruth Dotson of Fort Worth; a brother, Walter Johnson of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren, Nelsene Richards, Jolene King, Debra Ann Smith, Richard Stout, Stephen Dotson, Billy Dotson, Melissa Dotson and Angela Dotson, all of Fort Worth; two step-grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The Rev.O. Lawrence Perkins will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Carroll County.
Visitation will until 9 tonight and from 10 am to 9 p.m. Saturday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Carver, Bill McNeer, Billy Barefoot, Bernard Wiggins, the Rev. Larry Shackleford and Sam Mullins.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Danny Griffin, Albert Barrentine, David Wiggins, the Rev. Granville Wiggins and Carl Herring.
