The death of Miss Kate Loretta Kiley, a highly esteemed resident of Cooperstown, occurred at her home on Beaver street, Thursday morning at 4 o'clock. Miss Kiley had been in failing health for some time but her condition has been serious for only about three weeks. Death was ascribed to heart failure. Miss Kiley was the daughter of the late Patrick and Adelia (Connelly) Kiley and was born in the town of Hartwick February 27, 1864. She resided in the town of Middlefield for several years and came to this village thirty years ago. Since that time her home has been here continuously. A large circle of friends will feel a keen sense of regret in her passing. Surviving is one sister, Miss Fannie Kiley, with whom she resided, nineteen nieces and nephews and nineteen grand nieces and nephews ... Burial will be made in the old St. Mary's cemetery.
