She was preceded in death by her husband, Will Malone; parents, Pearl and Viron Mercer, and brother, Clifton.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Lisa, of Austin; son, Todd, and wife, Dana of Austin; grandsons, Tanner and Connor of Austin; brother, J M Mercer and wife Betty; sister Lura Glynn Bain and husband Melvin, and other loving relatives and friends. Her four legged Dachshund friend, Gracie, will especially miss her many treats.
Mary loved her home, yard work, gardening, and watching the humming birds in her back yard. Her last Birthday and Mother's Day was spent at the family ranch near Luling. Mimi especially enjoyed watching Tanner and Connor fish. She worked for The George Foundation for 20 years until her retirement in 2000.
Visitation will be held 6-8:00 PM Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 24, 2010, at First United Methodist Church, 1127 Third Street, Rosenberg, Texas 77471, with Rev. John Black presiding. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, September 24, 2010, at Luling City Cemetery, Caldwell County, Texas.
The family would like to give special thanks to her many loving neighbors, Lynn Cox, Rosa Vohar, and Donald Coleman, for all they have done and given.
