Houston –Melia Alma "Dumas" Griffin, age 80, died Sunday, May 1, 1994 at Trace Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 3 at Macedonia United Methodist Church. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Rooney and the Rev. Bobby Brock officiating.
The daughter of the late Edgar Griffin and the late Mary Elizabeth Gann Griffin, she was a lifelong resident of Chickasaw County. She was a retired seamstress at Seminole Manufacturing Company and was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Grace Griffin of Houston; two step sisters, Maylorene Criddle of Houston and Esterlene Latham of Eupora and 19 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were William Harlon Griffin, Ted Griffin, Tebo Huffman, Fletcher Griffin, Tommy Griffin, Nelson Griffin and Willie Gene Huffman.
Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
