Mary Jane "Jane" Huss was the eighth child of Christian Huss and Catharine Rathbun.

On February 24, 1868 Jane married John Gleason, whom she later divorced, in Sandusky County, Ohio. Jane and John had children: Ellen (died when she was about 15 and is buried in Bakertown Cemetery, Clyde, Ohio) and William Christ.

On April 12, 1877, Jane married Alonzo C. McMillan in Steuben County, Indiana. Jane and Alonzo had a son: Orville Wooster.
