Mr. Elbert "Eb" Harris passed away Thursday, February 19, 2004 at Carthage General Hospital. A resident of the Brush Creek Community since the early 1950's, he was a farmer and attended the Brush Creek United Methodist Church.
He was born July 12, 1910, in Overton County, he was the son of the late John William and Beckie Jane (Walker) Harris.
He is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law; Sallie and Bud Wilson of Brush Creek TN, Fannie and Chester Howard of Deer Lodge TN, and Bessie and Ratha "Moose" Sells of Jamestown, TN. 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Elbert Harris, Jr of South Carthage TN, and Willie Allen and Belinda Harris of Baxter,TN; 1 brother, Tommy Harris of Carthage,TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Girlie May (Honeycutt) Harris, 4 sisters, Verlie Cooper, Mary Copeland, and Nancy Jane Dixon, and Sarrah Finley. 2 brothers William Luther Harris and Berry Harris.
