Funeral services for Tollie Raymond Buie, 90, of San Marcos were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 12, at Pennington Memorial Chapel.
Burial was at San Marcos City Cemetery.
Mr. Buie died Friday, June 9, in San Marcos.

Agriculture Faculty Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Dr. Tollie R. Buie, a long-time professor and later chairman of the SWT Agriculture Department, for freshman students in memory of the retired and deceased faculty members of the SWT Agriculture Department. Recipients must be graduates of Texas high schools, eligible for a bachelor's degree in agriculture, maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be a full-time student.

Tollie Raymond Buie (BS '34) died on June 9, 2000. He headed the agricultural department at Southwest Texas State University. In 1996, SWT named him distinguished professor emeritus. He was listed in the Who's Who in American Education, and he received a Distinguished Service Award from the U.S. Office of Education for service to the field of agriculture.
