Ida M. F. Ferrin
Mrs. Ida Madeleine Farley Ferrin, 73, of 2580 Iowa, died at two forty-five a.m. today in a local hospital following a long illness.
Mrs. Ferrin was born in Ogden, Feb. 27, 1875, a daughter of Isaac R. and Madeleine Malan Farley. She attended Ogden public schools and Weber academy.
On Oct. 19, 1989, she was married to Charlton P. Ferrin in the L.D.S. Salt Lake temple. They spent several years in Washington and Oregon, where Mr. Ferrin was foreman of building operations for the Amalgamated Sugar Co. and others. He died in Ogden Dec. 23, 1941. They were the parents of three sons.
She was active in L.D.S. church work and for a number of years was a member of the Mount Ogden stake relief society board. She was also president of the Twelfth ward Relief society and a member of the ward chorus. She was prominent in musical circles and sang for many years in the Ogden tabernacle choir. She was one of the organizers of the Song society and a member of the Travelure club and Palette club and Weber county board of D. U. P.
Surviving are two sons, C. Arnold Ferrin and Junius F. (Bud) Ferrin, Ogden; four grandchildren, and the following sisters and brother: Mrs. Julia Miller and Mrs. Jennie Gibson, Los Angeles; Mrs. Lettie Forsgren and Mrs. Mary Marriott, Ogden, and Edward Farley, Seattle, Wash.
The body is at the mortuary, Twenty-fourth at Adams.
