Augustine was the daughter of Joseph and Melvina Choquette.

Feb 1, 1978 - Humboldt Republican - Mrs. Augustine Zigrang, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 28, at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, where she had been admitted as a patient earlier in the day. A mass of the resurrection was said at 10 a.m., Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Humboldt, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Livermore.

Surviving are sons: Denis Zigrang, Tulsa, Okla.; Jim, Eagle Grove; Frank, Humboldt; daughters, Mrs. R.W. Rusch, Sepulveda, Calif.; Mrs. Nick Hergenreter, Garden Grove, Calif.; 23 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sister, Mrs. Olympe Engle, Salix.

Augustine Chouquette was born at Salix, and attended the schools there. She later attended Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, now the University of Northern Iowa. She taught in the public schools of Livermore, and married Harry Zigrang in 1926 at Sioux City. They lived in Livermore until 1961. They then lived for a short time in California, before moving to Humboldt. Mr. Zigrang died in 1973.
