Funeral services for Farrell H. Campbell will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverends Rick White, Dennis Brown and Ernest Huber officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball.
Visitation will be at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Monday, November 22, 2010 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Campbell, 80, of Pineville, passed away, Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Veteran's Hospital PCU Unit.

He was born July 5, 1930 in Sikes, LA. Mr. Campbell had a K-9 unit in the Air Force and retired after 21 years of service. He also worked for the Pineville Police Force, 3 years Security for Esler Field Airport, 9 years for Rapides Parish Jail, Bailiff in Rapides Parish Courthouse, US Marshall Service at England Air Park for 14 years, Neighborhood Watch patrolman for 1 year and Rapides Parish Courthouse 6 months before retiring. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother Farrell, known as ‘Poppa" will be loved and remembered by those left to cherish his memory.

Those left to cherish her memory include his wife of 23 years, Dixie Campbell of Pineville; sister, Elner White of Port Arthur, Texas; one son, Michael Farrell Campbell and wife, Kathy of Gardner; one daughter, Nettie Kathleen Hamilton and husband, Donnie of Otis; one step- daughter, Penny Nenkov and husband, Nick of Puyallup, Washington; three half-brothers, W. J. Campbell, Thomas Glenn Campbell and Ronnie Campbell; three half-sisters, Charlene Hargraves, Sharon Taylor and Carla Cormier; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He now rests in Heaven with his mother, Nettie Thornhill; step father, Henry Thornhill; four brothers, Andrew Eldridge, Ira Edwin, Willie Ellis and Barrett Kennedy Campbell; one sister, Ara Rachel and one step-son, Linzie Squyres.

Pallbearers will include Mike Slocum, Steve Campbell, Olin Cowan, Antwain Batise, Tom Orr and Vernon Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will include Michael Farrell Campbell, J.R. Martin, Ernie Jordan and Jason Rush.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to everyone at the Veteran's Hospital PCU Unit.
