Frank Cowgur,71 retired farmer from Rileyville, died Tuesday at Lincoln at which place he moved last year and his body was brought to Galatia where funeral services and burial will take place Thursday.
He was brother to Rev. Austen Cowgur at whose home his body lies in state. The funeral services will be held at the Ebenezer Chruch, the Rev. Charles Hedges of Norris City officiating at 2pm Thursday and burial will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery.
Mr. Cowgur leaves his wife, Nettie (Smith), 2 sons Bill and Lilburn and 3 daughters Jaqueline Jewell and Mrs. Marvin Morgan of Lincoln, and Mrs. Roy Mills of Chicago. He leaves 2 sisters, Mrs.Cathrine Pohl, Auror and Mrs. May Reed, Kansas City, Mo. and 3 brothers, A.I. Cowgur, Mt. Pulaski, James Cowgur and Rev.
