HOWARD W. SHAAL Mr. Shaal, 73, formerly of Altoona, died at 4 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 1988, at Altoona Hospital. Mr. Shaal retired from the maintenance department of Olivo's Restaurant. He was born Jan. 14, 1915, in Allaona, the son of Robert W. and Florence L. (Miller) Shaal, and in 1938, in Altoona, married Ethel Rolhrock, who died Nov. H, 1981. Surviving are seven brolhers and sisters: Josephine Ammerman of Higgles Gap, twin Harold, Roy, Mary and Martha of Claysburg, David of Delaware and Elizabeth Bauscher of Phoenix, Ariz. Mr. Shaal was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Juniata. Arrangements by the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniala.
