William Henry Armitage, age 78 years, died Sunday, April 10th, at his home in Saratoga Village 12:30 a. m. Funeral services were held at Mt. Olive on Sand mountain at 4 p. m. Monday, conducted by W. Gaddys Roy. Interment was in adjoining cemetery, Drinkard in charge.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nora Armitage; 1 son, Charles Olen Armitage, Spring Garden, Ala.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Henry Lee Kelley, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Mrs. L. D. Albright, Guntersville; 6 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Francis Hasemfralz, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Nettie Hoe, Indiana; Mrs. Cora Utterback, Glendale, Calif.; 1 brother, Henry Armitage, Illinois.
Pallbearers were: Bob Baldwin, George Worley, Russell Spray, Marvin Crowson, Bill Shelley and O. L. Romans. Flower girls - Juanita Albright, Florence and Dorothy Armitage, Alma Holder, Louise Margaret and Lucille Hall, Opal Davidson and Hazel Burdette.
