S/O Nathan & Sarah(Spriggs)Wilson*.....Funneral services for J.L. Wilson,for many years a well known resident of Wheeling, will be conducted Saturday aftertoon at 1:30 from the Baptist church in Wheeling. burial will be at the Wheeling Cemetery. Pallbears will be the following grandsons of Mr. Wilson: Ward Wilson, Harry & Fred Deloughery, Orville Scott,Harold & Floyd Wilson. Mr. Wilson's death occured at the home of his son John Wilson, south of Wheeling,Thursday evening at abt.6 o'clock. He had been Ill since Dec. Mr. Wilson, who would have been 85 April 13, was born in Ohio,but spent most of his life near Wheeling.Mrs. Wilson died 20 yrs ago. Suriving are 6 daughters and sons: Mrs.Maggie Bennett Brunswick Mo.,J.H.Wilson of Wheeling,Mrs. Savina Deloughery, Mrs. Mary Frances Scott,and James and charles all of Chillicothe, Mo.( The Chillicothe Constitution Tribune,March 1935 )Contributed by Shirley Sprague
