Mrs. Mary Frances Scott, widow of Harvey A. Scott, died at 12:05 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Chillicothe hospital where she had been a patient ten days. She had been in failing health three years and seriously ill the last four weeks. Mrs. Scott resided at 337 Webster street.

Mary Frances Wilson was born Jan. 27, 1885, in Livingston County, a daughter of John Lewis Wilson and Mary Elizabeth (Harbert) Wilson. Her entire lifetime had been spent in Livingston County. The last 43 years she had resided in Chillicothe. She attended Jacksnipe rural school and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Mr. Scott on Feb. 2, 1903, in Chillicothe. Mrs. Scott died Aug. 6, 1937.

Surviving are two sons, Orville E. Scott of Spencer, Ia., and Harvey F. Scott of Kansas City; four daughters, Mrs. Lela Mae Boyd and Mrs. Ruth A. Dye, both of Chillicothe, Mrs. Iva E. Garbulski of Moberly and Mrs. Isabel Seier of St Louis; 15 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home. The Rev. John Gooding will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot in the Wheeling Cemetery." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune (Chillicothe, Missouri), February 15, 1968
