AMON, Ora B. (John), age 76, of 228 W. Garland Ave., Fairborn, died Friday at his residence. He was born May 4, 1912 in Peebles, OH. The son of Edward J. & Elizabeth L. (Johnson) Amon. He had been employed as a manager at Stegners Tire & Auto Center. He is survived by his wife, Opal E; 1 daughter and son-in-law Nira & Kenneth Pottenger of Greenville, OH; 2 sons & a daughter-in-law, Dan A. Amon and Michael J. & Aleta Amon, all of Fairborn; 2 sisters Mable Young & Nelle Boyd both of Peebles, OH; 1 brother, Guy Amon of Dayton; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harold & Elza; 2 sisters, Mayme & Geneva and 1 great granddughter, Jennifer Pottenger. Family will receive friends 12-2 P.M. tuesday in Burcham Funeral Home, Fairborn with funeral services being held at 2 P.M. with Mr. Fred Klatka officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association.
