Harold Verni Osterhoudt,son of Will and Adella Osterhoudt was born June 27,1900 at the farm home southeast of Curtis and died Dec.2 at Curtis.
On May 30,1927,he was married to Mildred Reynolds at North Platte.Four children were born; a daughter who died in infancy and three sons. He is survived by his widow Mildred, and sons Harold L. of North Platte:Rodney V. of Ogallala and Kent R. of McCook; three grandsons,Mike,Doug and Dennis, a sister Mrs. Loyd Miller,Ft. Collins,Colo. and brothers Wendell and Henry of Curtis.
He spent 37 years as a rural mail carrier out of Stockville, retiring from his duties on May 31,1960.He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge No. 179 of Stockville for 40 years.
Harold was a kind and loving husband and a wonderful Father.
Services were held Fri.,Dec 4 from the Stockville Congregational church with Rev. Clyde White officiating. The burial was in arbor Cemetery at Stockville with graveside services in charge of IOOF Lodge No.179.
