Mrs. Hoffmaster was Probation Officer of the Criminal District Court No. 1 in 1916. For twenty five years she was well known as a social service worker at the courthouse. She was the wife of the late Henry Deforrest Hoffmaster, Dallas oil man. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Born in Bonham, she lived for a number of years in Sherman, before coming to Dallas.
Surviving are two sons: V.D. and L Hoffmaster; two brothers: J.D. Taylor of Dallas, and Y.E. Taylor of Paul's Valley, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Hoffmaster was the youngest daughter of the late Col R. H. Taylor and wife of this city, and aunt of Postmaster Albert Taylor. She was well-known to the older residents of Bonham. 25 Nov. 1931 . Bonham, Texas newspaper.
