CANASTOTA - Albert E. Adamo, at the age of 81, of Main Street, Canastota, N.Y. died Sunday evening, Nov. 14, 2010, at the Stonehedge Nursing Home, Chittenango, N.Y., following a long illness.
He was born on March 8, 1929, in Canastota, N.Y., a son of Louis and Marion Sweet Adamo. He married Evelyn Klock in Pennsylvania in 1953. Albert was formerly employed with Agway Inc. for 33 years, retiring in 1978.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; one son, Robert (Marsha) Wadsworth of Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Lillian (Andrew) Snedeker of Canastota; one granddaughter, Reta Wadsworth and several nieces and nephews; also a brother-in-law, James Hastings of Oneida, N.Y. He was predeceased by two brothers, Tom Adamo and Carl Adamo and a sister, Donna Adamo Hastings.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fiore Funeral Home, 317 S. Peterboro St., Canastota, N.Y. with the Rev. Kevin J. Corcoran, pastor of St. Agatha's Church, Canastota, N.Y., officiating. Burial will be in St. Agatha's Cemetery in Canastota, N.Y. Friends may call at the Fiore Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 5-8 p.m.
